The Ottomans were in Lebanon for 400 years. They have left a mark that many still tell about today: divide and conquer, bloody interventions, massacres and repressions… But to limit 400 years to bloody events is a tad short sighted as the Ottomans have also left citadels, dishes and legends. No matter the area, there is always something Ottoman about it.
